ABOUT US

One-on-one, individualized treatment with a focus in manual therapy, orthopedics, & sports

Embody PT

Embody PT is a specialty practice with a comprehensive approach to patient care.  We work closely with the individual to achieve goals and assist individuals with return to their highest level of performance.

We spend an hour, one-on-one, with you, the patient.  We know how important it is to track and follow progress as well as truly learn our patient; in turn, patients always have the same physical therapist for each visit. We treat one patient per hour, without the use of aides or assistants, simply to allow us to make effective changes in real time.

We utilize evidence-based treatment approaches from peer-reviewed journals, manual therapy techniques, dry needling, cupping, and IASTM to address chronic pain and dysfunction. â€‹

Each evaluation begins with a thorough whole-body/holistic evaluation looking at posture, movement, muscle balance/imbalance, alignment, strength, flexibility, and fascial and soft tissue mobility to find the source of pain and impairment.  We also take into account past medical history and recent imaging as well as each individual’s personal story to determine the “why and how” pain came about in the first place.

After we determine the primary source of the pain/problem we partner with the patient to determine goals and develop an individualized treatment plan.

The patient will receive as much treatment as possible on the first day; in fact, often times, treatment is generally mixed in with the evaluation.  When exercises or stretches are needed, the patient is given thorough instruction on how and when to perform them, and it is his/her responsibility to get them done as part of a home exercise program.

We believe it is our job to perform what a patient cannot do for his/herself. Much of a treatments session is spent on manual treatment, including dry needling (if needed) and not alway exercise, unless it is warranted.

We use our eyes, ears, and hands to deliver thorough, high-quality, individualized care addressing the whole person.
